Tech We Can Champions
Tech We Can Champions are volunteers, who would like to
play their part in increasing the diversity of workers in the
tech industry, by using our Tech We Can resources to inspire
future generations to consider a career in tech.
What to expect
The Tech We Can educational resources are designed to be delivered by teachers, parents, and non-specialists so you do not need any in-depth tech knowledge in order to deliver the lessons to students.
To be a Tech We Can Champion, you must register as a STEM Ambassador before delivering any content to students (this is a free process and a requirement assuming you are not a qualified teacher). For your benefit this provides you with:
A free DBS check
An induction to working with young people
Access to a variety of STEM resources
Become part of a community of like minded STEM volunteers
Deliver a Tech Tuesday yourself
Tech We Can Champions have 3 different options for delivering Tech We Can:
Deliver a full 2 hour lesson pack for the students face to face.
Watch a Tech Tuesday lesson with the students (virtually or face to face) and then set and facilitate the creative challenge.
Use the below resources to deliver the Tech Tuesday content yourself using our powerpoints, scripts, and video links and facilitate the creative challenge with the students (either virtually or face to face)
